Seclude Taradale is a beautiful 7 hour drive from Delhi. Although located in the sleepy hamlet of Ramgarh, Taradale is a hub of activities; with a pool table, a cozy living room for karaoke, an outdoor badminton and a timeless gazebo for a perfect date night. Within this colonial six-bedroom villa, the decor is a mix of its rich history with its joyful present. The peace & tranquillity of this place inspired the likes of Rabindranath Tagore who penned parts of his famous Gitanjali here.
A: Taradale isn’t just a mountain villa — it’s part of literary history, a peaceful stay in Ramgarh. This region is also closely associated with Rabindranath Tagore, who is believed to have been inspired to write parts of Gitanjali here.
Located in the quiet hamlet of Ramgarh, the property combines colonial architecture, old-world charm, mountain views, and open outdoor spaces while still being accessible from Kathgodam and Delhi NCR.
✦ The house still carries the slower, reflective atmosphere that makes Ramgarh feel different from other hill stations.
A: Taradale carries the feel of an old colonial mountain residence, with vintage furniture, fireplaces, wooden floors, bay windows, and rooms that feel connected to the literary and historic character of Ramgarh.
The rooms are designed less like hotel units and more like spaces inside a lived-in heritage home, bright and outward-facing with valley views, with reading corners and warm wooden interiors.
✦ The colonial architecture, gazebo, lawns, foyer and old-world common spaces become just as much a part of the stay.
A: Taradale works especially well for slower, old-world mountain stays. Fruit plucking in nearby orchards, riverside visits, bonfire evenings, BBQ nights, karaoke sessions, and candlelight dinners can all be arranged at the property.
Around Ramgarh, guests usually explore Mukteshwar Mahadev, Chauli Ki Jali, Kainchi Dham, Naukuchiatal Lake, and the Talla Ramgarh Trek through orchards and forest trails.
✦ Taradale feels best suited to guests who enjoy a slower pace, books, and old hill-home charm!
A: Comfort-led and suited to long hill stays. Expect North Indian meals, grills, warm breakfasts, café-style comfort food, and outdoor dining setups during clear weather.
BBQ evenings, chai in the gazebo, and slower sit-down dinners naturally become part of the stay because of the layout of the property itself.
✦ Evening tea in the gazebo is almost a Taradale ritual at this point.
