Nestled in a paddy field in Himachal, Seclude Palampur is a one-of-a-kind property which is at one with the nature that surrounds it. Once you enter the ivy draped bungalow, an earthy, spacious living room stretches before you, along with one vibrant bedroom. On the first floor, three playful rooms, each with their own natural theme, share an expansive balcony. Long glass windows frame each room, allowing you to appreciate the magnificent snow peaked mountains so close.
For those who wish to truly immerse themselves with nature, the Red Cedar cottage lies just 50 metres from the bungalow. A red cedar tree grows steadily within this charming one-bedroom cottage, reminding us all that Seclude Palampur is a labour of love, made with all local materials and local craftsmen!
Rooms: All the rooms have big windows offering amazing vistas of the snow-capped mountains and rolling meadows around. The curtains draping these windows have bright and colourful Himachali pattas which along with the light dreamy colour walls and ksyana oak flooring give a very cheerful and ethnic vibe to the place.

A: Five rooms with strong local character — bamboo detailing, oak flooring, bright Himachali pattas, cheerful walls, and long windows opening into mountain views.
Three themed rooms on the first floor share a large balcony facing the Dhauladhars, while the standalone Red Cedar Cottage, about 50 metres away, feels more private and rooted in local craftsmanship with a cedar tree growing through the space itself.
The overall design feels earthy and vibrant rather than polished or overly styled, which suits Palampur very naturally.
✦ The balcony becomes part of the room here — especially during sunrise and post-rain evenings.
A: Palampur is known for its tea gardens, mountain views, monasteries, pottery villages, and slower Kangra valley pace.

Because of the open setting and mountain-facing balconies, even quieter experiences like morning tea outdoors or sunset watching naturally become part of the stay.
✦ Clear nights here are wonderful for stargazing — there’s very little city light around.
A: Simple, fresh, and mountain-weather friendly. Expect North Indian comfort meals, Himachali thalis, café-style snacks, grills, and outdoor dining experiences that suit the setting around the property.
